I had a member on here who was seemed like a nice person who was supportive, only to have him send me a message titled, "Hey sexy"
What the heck?
this is not a dating site, I do not find this flattering. I do not find this appropriate. There was also a message about a picture of me in a red dress that I put up. I promptly took it down.
Why is this? I am a lady. I am not a piece of meat. I am a vulnerable woman going through divorce and now a bad break up with my boyfriend. I am not to be referred to as "sexy". Have some respect. Would you talk to your sister or mother that way?
If I want to be hit on, I will go to a bar. Calling someone you don't know sexy is gross and weird and creepy. I don't make comments about these guys appearances, and would never in a million years refer to them as sexy. That is totally outter limits and wrong.
Where are these bad manners originating from? Is this just what the world has come to? Just basic disrespect for females in general, or is it just me? Is it my body type that solicits these disgusting remarks and attracts these creeps?
How low do you have to be to go on daily strength and hit on woman who are vulnerable and just searching for a compassionate caring person to listen to them/

I\'ve had the same thing happen to me on here multiple times. I just ignore and/or block the people rude or ridiculous enough to treat this site as a \"dating\" site. I\'m sorry it\'s made you feel so let down but don\'t allow it to ruin the site as a whole for you. I\'ve made several amazing lifelong friends on here who I never would have met had it not been for this place (and also found a lot of support for problems I face). Try to keep your chin up. :)
I have to admit that I am kind of guilty of saying things like that. I dont treat this place as a dating sight and DO NOT say things like that as come on\'s or to treat someone unfairly. What I have been guilty of is commenting on pictures of women and saying they are beautiful or Very Pretty. I say these things as moral boosters I guess (in my mind anyway). I am genuinly a very honest person and I call it as I see it. I am not looking for dates or a relationship of any kind from anyone on here. I am just trying to be supportive and find that a little flattery helps people sometimes. Please dont judge the whole comunity by the actions of the few. There are a lot of men on here that are trolls and looking to take advantage of women. :(
