in all of my glory......
It feels good to be happy..... T is home vegging and watching TV with my husband. It was his girlfriend's birthday - he went and bought decorations, had cake, earned $ to buy her a gift, attended the surprise party and then......came home early.....very early, in fact. So early that he called us asking for us to pick him up. He started walking home and asked for a ride. He says they (gf's family), friend's, and T had a surprise party for her. They then sang happy b-day, ate cake, and then he decided he was tired and wanted to come home! And he called me twice today to let me know where he was and what his plans were! I will give this counselor we're supposed to see tomorrow a chance...... but...it's really difficult to see past his quirks...... I'm trying. I just don't think he listens...even T said that. He likes to hear himself babble. And he talks about his kids too much. I don't want to hear how his teen is struggling. If he were a friend, that is one thing. I just don't think it's very professional. Fortunately, we are doing pretty well right now and aren't desperate for good help. So I will be patient and let things play out. Who knows....maybe he will turn out to be okay.....
