Improvement somewhat
On Thursday my husband called his Neurologist and said, " I can't exsist like this, something else needs to be done!" He hadchanged his meds on the first of December from Neurotin to Tegretol because he had break throughs and I had taken him to the ER on Black Friday with severe pain. The ER doctor had only given pain medication and wouldn't go any further than that because he said, "He couldn't." He said call your doctor on Monday in which we did. Our Family doctor earlier wanted to know why he was on Tegretol. My husband did research and also questioned this and after the ER episiode the Neurologist prescribe it. During these 2 weeks on Tegretol, my husband was a walking Zombie. He couldn't think, sleep, was not nice or just not himself. He had a upset stomach often and threw up. He did nothing when awake and even though he couldn't sleep at night, slept often during the day. Now the Neurologist has put him back on the Neurotin and an antidepressant in which I can't remember the name as I write but he seems after 2 days on the plan, a much calmer person. He has no pain at the moment and seems "human." He is thinking out situations better and answering questions better. I am hoping this new plan gives him some results because the other way was no good for him nor our family.
