Improvements

After hitting rock bottom a few weeks ago, and 5 days in the hospital, I am slowly rebuilding on an upswing.  Adopted a precious cat, who I swear was chosen by God and my dear husband to be a loving part of our home.  Made plans for the holidays to make them a little better to get through, since they are all my firsts.  Changing things in our home to please me.  My husband is watching and helping me from his new home.  He never cared what I did if it made me happy. The time change I have not adapted to well yet, but working on it.  Support group and weekly counseling helps, plus the anti-depressants that were prescribed during my hospital stay.   Still miss my husband terribly, but I am able to focus on the day, make new plans, enjoy the company of my friends and family.  Also have learned to reach out to them for help or a listening ear.  Even inviting everyone I am friendly with, or have made new friendships with to come to MY home and visit me.  Rediscovering that crying is a cleansing tool for the soul.  38 years of my life was taken by cancer, but can't ever be removed from my heart. Hopefully my trend will continue to improve for I fear falling back to that dark place where I would need to be hospitalized again.   And, prayer.  God listens to and cushions those who are in pain and need.
