If The World Is A Stage
If the world is a stage and I am a player would the director of this ruddy melodrama in which I have taken a lead role for five long years please find a replacement. If the world is a stage and I am a player would the director of this theatre troupe acknowledge that I have done melodrama and Greek Tragedy very well and need a turn at some light hearted romantic comedy. If the world is a stage and I am a player I am officially happy to enter by the front door and Be ushered to the best seats in the house where I could sit Munching popcorn and slurping coke While someone else struts their stuff I wrote this some years ago now. Since I have come to DS I am more aware of just how many people are having to play the same role and I do not feel as put upon. Being here has given me very important insight and is really pushing me to forge ahead. Obviously I am incredibly sad that the man who I would have loved to grow old with me is not by my side but at least I know his spirit does live on in me. Warm thanks to everyone here for sharing their pain and in doing so helping to alleviate my sense of aloneness and abandonment.

A wonderful journal entry! None of us is alone in this drama. Happy New Year.

I keep saying: \"Enough already. I get it. I pissed somebody off. Now leave me alone and let me have some fun like everyone else.\" Indeed, I, too, could \"sit Munching popcorn and slurping Coke, While someone else struts his stuff\" Well said!!!!

A friend has told me that my trials make for great entertainment at our group luncheon before the Theatre. Always one more wild story!

Nicely said!!!! I did not want to be part of this drama but we are here and either way we have to continue on it regardless of what part we play. Our lives is a great soap opera with no ending in sight. God bless you. Linda
Very well said. The spirit of our spouse\'s does indeed live on in us and as many of them struggled in vain through desperate illnesses we certainly know the value of life and owe it to then to try to make the best of the life they didn\'t get. Not easy, I know but we cared for them out of love and ,maybe, we can live the rest of our lives guided by that same love. Good luck. Patrick
Heather you are never alone, your husbands spirit is with you all the time, just watching over you.

I always thought acting might be fun. But I wanted to star in a comedy not a tragedy/horror show
