If I Want My Life to be Different.....
It is Monday evening....I'm just about to leave work, thought I'd write a few lines..... My current rental management lady called me when she got the call from the apartment people requesting a reference....and offered to lower my rent if I would stay.....that made me feel good, because she appreciates me as a renter....and bad....because it is so tempting for me to stay. HOWEVER.....even with the cut in rent, I still couldn't save nearly as much as moving to an apartment. I hate losing my luxuries and all the space.....but........I really want to move on to the next place in my life..... The place where....I am financially responsible.I live well below my means.I can pay my debts.I can reduce my stress.I feel good about how I am managing my life.I can reduce my work hours and bring more enjoyment into my life.I can live healthier...more sleep, more exercise, time to prepare healthier food....more FUN. If I want my life to be different.....I have to live differently..... So.....off I go now to home. I am off tomorrow.....and will spend the day doing more to get ready for my move... Sending out love to all my dear friends.......xoxoxo

Stay strong!
sometimes its hard to downsize. ive had to let go of my life, and things in my life several times and start over, usually not by a concious choice. i think you should make the choice that makes you happy. and having the ability and the sanity( now not gambling) is a luxury in itself. you need to be where you will be happy and you should and can feel proud of any choice you make from here on because of the obstacles you have overcome. you are a wonderful person and a great friend.
reduce stress, simpler, healther, less work, more time to do things enjoyable, etc.,
I like this in particular: \"If I want my life to be different.....I have to live differently.....\"
sounds like a successful equation. It sounds inviting. You are causing me to think here about my own life.
Blessings today! deb
I am sure you will miss your space but downsizing can offer you alot more. You will make your new apartment your home and will enjoy not having the stress. Take care Melissa

Dianne - wow - you are really showing a responsible attitude, This is change. Maybe we are eventually growing up :).
I think the change will be good. It might be a little stressful in the way of space but once you downsize what you have I think you will be amazed how you will just slot into it.
You are a wise woman and I am so proud of the choices you are making. Yaaay you.
Better and greater things and yet to come for you
Hugs and love Suzi

That was a nice offer from your current landlady but sounds like you are making the right choice for the right reasons. Sticking to your guns when faced with temptations, hmmmm, sounds familiar. Recovery is recovering in all aspects of our lives.

Hi Dianne, late night chat friend...LOL...when are you moving? I\'ll come and help..wait! How long to drive 2000 miles? I might be late, you might be moved before I get there. LOL. But in seriousness, you always inspire me. I am aware of changes I need to make, yet I don\'t. So, when I read your entries I get a little motivation, a little fired up and think to myself-I can do that too! Maybe I will? Keep up the good work, for you (and for me!)
love,
brigette
