if i had my child to raise over again, by diane loomans//THE A-TEAM By: Ed Sheeran lyrics

If I Had My Child to Raise Over Again: "If I had my child to raise all over again, I'd build self esteem first, and the house later.
I'd fingerpaint more, and point the finger less. I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes. I would care to know less and know to care more.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites. I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play. I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging. I'd see the oak tree in the acorn more often.
I would be firm less often, and affirm much more. I'd model less about the love of power, And more about the power of love." by Diane Loomans

The A Team,  By Ed Sheeran
A Team' came from an experience I had when I did a gig at a homeless shelter," says Sheeran of the song.
"I was 18 at the time and kind of quite naive.   So, I was a bit taken aback by some of the stories that I heard.
I got home that night and I just wrote a lot of the lyrics.    I wanted to write it so it sounded kind of upbeat, so you wouldn't really know what it's about, because it's quite a dark subject.
"A drug like crack cocaine is called a 'class A' drug.   That's in the same category as heroin.
Instead of making it clear and just saying what the problem was,
I'd say, 'She's in the 'class A' team.'   It was kind of my way of covering up (a person's addiction), I guess, making it a bit more subtle."

"White lips, pale face Breathing in snowflakesBurnt lungs, sour tasteLights gone, days endStruggling to pay rentLong nights, strange menAnd they sayShe's in the class A teamStuck in her daydreamBeen this way since eighteenBut lately her face seemsSlowly sinking, wastingCrumbling like pastriesAnd they scream The worst things in life come free to us 'Cause we're just under the upper hand And go mad for a couple gramsAnd she don't want to go outside, tonightAnd in a pipe she flies to the motherlandOr sells love to another manIt's too cold outsideFor angels to fly, for angels to flyRipped gloves, raincoat Tried to swim and stay afloatDry house, wet clothesLoose change, bank notesWeary-eyed, dry throatCool girl, no phoneAnd they sayShe's in the class A teamStuck in her daydreamBeen this way since eighteen But lately her face seemsSlowly sinking, wastingCrumbling like pastriesAnd they scream The worst things in life come free to us 'Cause we're just under the upper hand And go mad for a couple gramsBut she don't want to go outside, tonightAnd in a pipe she flies to the motherlandOr sells love to another manIts too cold outsideFor angels to flyAn angel will dieCovered in white Closed eyeAnd hoping for a better lifeThis time, we'll fade out tonight Straight down the lineAnd they sayShe's in the class A teamStuck in her daydreamBeen this way since eighteen But lately her face seemsSlowly sinking, wastingCrumbling like pastriesThey scream The worst things in life come free to us And we're under the upper hand And go mad for a couple gramsAnd we don't want to go outside, tonightAnd in the pipe fly to the motherlandOr sell love to another manIt's too cold outsideFor angels to fly, angels to fly To fly, flyFor angels to fly, to fly, to flyAngels to die

i tried to post \"The A-team\" by ed sheeran once before and ds lost it. i posted it with the if i had my child to raise over again, not just because addicts lose custody of their children -- AND SHOULD. but because beaumont sent me a message about it today and it coincided with events of now. i\'m trying to journal for real again, and instead, i\'m journalling polite, as one does in real life. not good. the whole point of being on ds is the support site thing. and journalling to vent. amazed i\'m so far away from this, habits bringing back manners right away. grrrr.

went to the church sale today, finally. even that is full of gossip. always so much crap going on.
