IdioticThoughts
I know we are calling this PseudoTumor Cerebri here, but we all know it's new name is IIH Idiotic Intracranial Hypertension. Anyways, doesn't matter except I like the Idiotic better because this seems so absurd unless you have it.
So, I wonder if my brain convinced my body that I have a brain tumor even though I don't or if my body convinced my brain so they just started pumping all this extra spinal \ cerebral fluid. Because it seems to me, if they can convince each other that I have a brain tumor when I don't, wouldn't it make sense I could convince them I don't since I really don't?
I know that is not logical since even babies get this, but it sounds logical when you look at it that way. Anyway that is what I thought about on my way to work.
I told one person at work today what I had and they felt so sorry for me and went on about how horrible, tragic, etc. this is. I really I don't want people at work feeling sorry for me so I have chosen not to tell anyone else at work.
Today was a good day, had lunch with a friend, made it through a 10 hour work day with only a slight headache. So far no side effects with new medication, but my dose is really low right now.

It\'s not called idiotic intracranial hypertension lol....
It\'s called idiopathic intracranial hypertension.
It was originally called Meningitis Serosa, then benign intracranial hypertension, then pseudotumor cerebri, And finally idiopathic intracranial hypertension.
I was diagnosed with the name as Pseudotumor cerebri but my charts say benign intracranial hypertension. It depends how the insurance and docters code the bill.
Good for you, that your able to function at work. it\'s important you keep your life as normal as possible.
I\'m laughing, laughing, laughing! Can\'t I change the name to idiotic???? Now that makes me wonder what my doctor is going to end up coding it as. I\'m going to go look because he would not be specific, but I\'m sure they had to be on the bill! Thanks for the tip Lady!!!
