"I Will WIN"

I beseech you :-)  to watch this video of Ken reading his poem "I Will Win". He captures the range of emotions when diagnosed with a terrible disease, in his case Parkinsons.
And for green smiley Monday, I will list five gratitudes:1. for the beautiful weather of September
2. for things I'm looking forward to (Li'l Ms. No. 9!)
3. for my job, sooo flexible and supportive
4. for my house, pure sanctuary
5. for the mom's group I met and had lunch with today... people who know that the only way through this is holding hands.

Thanks for this posting, a beautiful poem. Oh how we struggle, poor humanity, our bodies have a logic all their own. The other day in yoga, I admitted, outloud, I\'ve brought the wrong body to class. Ain\'t it the truth?

\"I will adjust, with a shrug...and I will win\"--those ending words so well describe a great deal of my own struggle against this battle of the Spirit we bereaved moms all share in common.
Early on, from the first day, I told myself \"He killed my family, he almost killed me--but HE CANNOT KILL MY SPIRIT!!!\"
Not having been previously much of a victorious \"fighter\"--I believe this battle cry of mine was inspired by my leader in battle, Jesus.
Thank you for this very inspirational video Sarah! You have very wonderful friends and acquaintances that you introduce us to here on FMO! Thank you! Love+Hugs, Donna
