I want to cry!
I have been getting more and more into my facebook acct. While on there I have a friend that I met here. I was on her page this past friday, just browsing when I came across another page that caught my eyes. It was congentital hernia awareness. As I read this page a baby girl was struggling for her life. Dialysis and other issues. I had become glued checking for updates as I was looking at a beautiful miracle. She had been through 4 surgeries and not given the chance to make it on the last one, but she did. This little girl not even 2 months old had amazed me. She was the same age as my rainbow baby. I began to think about the chance that my son never had to fight for his life as his one and only symptom was he quit breathing. Not only that but we went to bed one day, everything was fine and the next unexpectedly our hearts were broken. I have never walked in her parents shoes before and thought how blessed I was that I did not suffer the pain of the thought of losing my baby boy on a day to day basis. It breaks my heart in to pieces as I read Sunday evening that she had lost the fight with her condition. It bothers me that her parents being there first child never got the oportunities I had with my baby boy and how tore up, I have been since the loss of my son. Im not sure what it is that Im saying, but I didnt even know this girl or her parents and all I want to do is grieve the loss of my son and their daughter even more so knowing this baby girl and her parents missed out of so much. That joy of getting to bring baby home from the hospital and watching them sleep in their beds And how many others there are like her out there. My heart cries, I wish there was just something I could do. You guys please keep this family in your prayers. If you have lost a baby before you can relate to how difficult this is for them.

I think that the grief we experience with the loss of our children makes us much more empathetic than we ever were before. We can feel the pain of loss that people suffer now. We can understand at the most basic level what people are going through and it hits us deep within our soul. Your concern and love for this family is beautiful. You and your son and this family and their daughter are in my heart today and always. Love, Anne
