i've met my match
In my annoy little pontifications, i decided to text A a mis-sent note as a quirky fun joke. it read:
Dear Ms. Berry
Haley, I am very sorry to inform you that i can no longer see you as i have met a wonderful woman from Jamacia named 'A'. I understand this must be devistaing for you Haley but life will go on and you'll meet someone else. best wishes (king)
thinking myself witty i immediatley sent another text saying:
Drat!!!! I missent the text to the wrong person!!!
after a brief moment, A sent back
...that was unexpected...does this mean i have to give up ALL my other boyfriends too???
[BAM] touche! perfect strike! i was bested LOL LOL LOL
this journey that me and A are on is sublime. Everything is focused on the connection through freindship first. Comming from the 'streets of Babylon' of nightclub bouncing and WBWE (world bed wrestling entertainment) it is the most wonderful feeling to remove the physical and learn the spiritual as the catalyst of the relationship (in over three weeks we haven't missed a single day of engaging communication, in that same time i have been rewarded with one peck on the cheek).
Even with the understanding of this being the 'honeymoon' period, we have found (not a grove that turns into a rut) a path of togetherness that allows us comfortable and enjoying conversation without fear. (A is black/jamacian and i'm white/uh'mer-cun. last week she went off on a mocking tirade centring around my color and i poped right back on hers with a total snippy enjoyment from both. it was very racist without being racisim. no hate whatsoever, wouldn't that be a wonderful world.)
the foundation were bulding is solid in so many aspects. trust, communication, understanding, and acceptance. A is religious and passionate about her belief, but just like me, it starts with the personal and not to judge others. she has made it very clear she'd accept me if i didn't go to church with her. that she accepts my heart and morals over the name over the church. we both fully understand that a relationship isn't about losing oneself in it, but the begging of a new life in which you have yourself, your love, and the relationship your building together.
It's what i always wanted, all other relationships were stared with the front of interest in everything but the underlying desire to 'test-out-the-goods' ASAP!
Intamacy is paramount in a relationship, but i belive it is also incredibly special and should be spiritually cherished alond witht he physical gratification. if you don't have both of these 'legs' you cant walk of even stand before your relationship stumbles. The simple peck she gave me was wonderful, it held warmth and accpetance as well as attraction. i know me and A will not be intimate for a long time and most possibly not without life commitment and that is perfect. she is very moralistic but has shown the TINIEST hint of me comming home one night to find her only in a cowboy hat and a smile... even if not, intamacy isn't only found in bedroom activities.
It isn't all A that has brought this euphorism. i see it also is me and how we both complete holes in our lives perfectly. that is a good relationship when you see yourself as important as your other.
God bless you all and i pray you can experience the same in your own lives.

Insert Pat Benatar here. "Hit me with your best shot." Gentle humor sure can enrich a life.
Sex is far from the only intimacy available, Personally, I feel like sex is at its most magical when all the other forms of intimacy are mastered and lovingly respected. Even the sexiest of couples have to get out of bed sooner or later.
Good loving takes time to learn. After 40 years Hubs and I think we need another 40 years of practice. Be patient with the process.
But, given how new you are into the relationship, you got a Dan Hicks tune caught in my head:

I'm definitely w/arfie when it comes to sex being far from the only intimacy available & that it is best when all the other forms of intimacy are mastered and maintained. Communication, honesty, respect, kindness and empathy, among other things builds trust, both self trust and trust of others. You said, "...we both fully understand that a relationship isn't about losing oneself in it, but the begging of a new life in which you have yourself, your love, and the relationship your building together." I agree! I'd take it a step further, just to clarify, mutual support and encouragement of each other in whatever endeavors each chooses. It's also about becoming interdependent without becoming codependent. ;-)
