I've decided...

After much thinking, I have decided to relax another month and start my third IUI in October. I wasn't sure so I spoke to my therapist about it, I told her I felt selfish for waiting another month and for not getting back on the horse right away. Then she said "selfish against who"..and I said....wait for it...."my unborn baby".....omg we just both died laughing on how silly that sounded. Maybe I just feel bad because it makes me feel like I don't want it bad enough like I should, but I do, I just need a break from TTC. I'm taking this next month to get help train our new puppy, a full bred German Shephard...yup..we bought a puppy, we are one of those crazy pet parents...LOL...hubby has been wanting one for a while and thinks it will cheer us up...I'll post a pic soon!
Love ya'll ladies!

Good for you- don\'t feel badly about your decision! This is a ridiculously exhausting process on our minds and bodies and you are free to take a break! I\'m recovering from my tube removal surgery (post-ectopic) and honestly it feels nice just to put TTC on the back burner for a while. No meds, no stressing about scheduling, etc. I hope the time off makes you feel good!

Oh and I\'m crazy like you- one week after my surgery we adopted a second dog...and he has ENERGY!

Best wishes!!! :)

I think its great that you are taking care of yourself emotionally and allowing yourself to have a break. In the long run I think you will be really happy that you listened to your own needs. This whole process is physically and emotionally draining and we need time to get recharged.
Congrats on the new pup!!! I can\'t wait to see pics :)

Thanks gals! I uploade some pics of my pup, boy am I excited! I also asked my therapist is she thought it was weird that we are adding a new pup to our house with the IF struggle and she said it\'s actually really common for people in our situation. I figure it will keep me busy until our third cycle in October.

Don\'t feel selfish at all. Being selfish means not caring for others, not doing what\'s in your best interest. This doesn\'t concern anybody but you and DH, and making a decision best for you guys is what matters. And both of my furbabies came out of the inability to have children. They were bought to fill a void at the time, and although they don\'t satisfy the need for children, they are very successful in providing a channel for all your built up unconditional love!! I can\'t wait to see apic!!

I\'m glad you are taking another month off. Sometime we just need a break from all the meds and stress! October will be here before you know it and hopefully it will be your month! I\'m a proud dog momma too, so I totally understand crazy pet parents b/c I\'m borderline obsessed with my dog. Haha.

Yay for the puppy. My dog makes me happy everyday, and this is coming from some one who was never an animal lover. A month off is a good thing, it is amazing how much better you feel with a mental, and physical, break. You can live like a normal person- we deserve that.
