I thought it would have been easier to.......
look at the "donor list" with my husband last night. It started off a little comical. Its kinda like a dating service..."oh, she's too short, oh she's too thick, wrong body build, did she graduate from HS?". I found myself getting incredibly judgemental. My husband had to check me for a minute. It does not matter if they graduated or what their lot in life is currently. Its a matter of how you raise them with your values. But then, we looked at some of the medical histories and there were definitely some that I did not want to pursue (hypertension, cancer history, blah, blah, blah). And then during our conversation, I began to tear up.I just wished that we did not have to go through this.

When we looked for our donor sperm it was initially painful b/c like you said we shouldn\'t have to go through this at all. BUT my girlfriend has a son from a donor egg and let me tell you HE IS HER SON!! This baby will be yours as well. I read once on the sperm donor board someone write that never once did anyone not love their baby from the donor sperm/egg and never once when they returned :) I know the profiles get tough. I was hard on the heart disease and cancers as well. BUT in the end we are just adopting sperm/eggs and we will have \"OUR BA BIES\" . I will be praying for you for no more tears please picking this donor. It will bring you to your miracle!
