I think my doctor broke me

So I went to see an orthopedist yesterday for my busted shoulder and there's good news and bad news.  Good news is that I tore my one rhomboid, but I don't need surgery just PT.  Awesome!  The bad news is I think the doctor and his PA hurt my shoulder joint.
I went into the office with just my one rhomboid hurting.  Nothing else.  Not the shoulder joint, not the front, not my lower back.  Just my rhomboid.  Well, the PA tugged really hard on my arm and said I had "loose" joints and called in a student.  He pulled on my arm again and had her touch my shoulder joint to feel how far he could pull it, and then he pulled it again so I could feel the space it created.  Then the doctor came in and did the same thing, and then did it again to make sure he was right.
My shoulder joint hurt yesterday, but now it's really HURTING.  On a pain scale of 1-10 it went from a 3 to now a 5. It's staying at a 5 so far, so at least it's not going too high. But shit.  It's my dominate arm.
Have anyone of you ladies ever been to an orthopedist?  Is this normal after being examined?
I don't want to call his office and have them think I'm overacting, or being a baby.  But I think he might've sprained it or something. It just doesn't feel right.  My rhomboid was feeling better, and my arm was just getting it's range of motion back. Now I can't move it so well without it hurting more.
I don't know... I'd find it really hard to believe he busted my shoulder, but he was the only one yanking on my arm.
