I think I'm a little depressed.
Or maybe it's just "floating", lol.
Got up at 5am, took the dogs hiking to the falls again. As usual, I got that healing feeling and it was a GORGEOUS walk. Fall Colors are about 50 percent peak. But instead of it clearing my thoughts today, instead I just kept hearing music in my head - waltzes! (not so strange as it sounds - I like classical music). But that was ALL that was going through my head as I marched up the hills with the dogs. Did I find any solutions to the problem with my aunt? Nope, nothing. Or about the X? Nope there either! So I guess it's floating! I'm gonna give my aunt another week or two to reply to my last e-mail (assuming she's working on it). With the X, I'll just buy the supplies I need, send him a bill later and see if I get a response. And I'm definitely beginning to feel a little lonely since Claudia moved away.... even the hiking club hasn't done any lately...
I did get in some thinking about moving forward... tonite I did my budget for 2013 AND 2014 to make sure I can survive... and as long as I keep my current job, I can! So I just need to make sure I keep it, lol, for now.
So instead of dwelling, my thoughts changed over to working on getting ready for next week's bicycle ride.... After the hike, I pulled out my mountain bike and on very low tires (I forgot to check until AFTER the ride, lol), I went 30 miles in just under 3 hours. And then I went on another 1 mile hike with the dogs this afternoon. I burned close to 5000 calories today! AND I can still walk, just don't ask me to bend down to pick anything up - knees won't let me get back up, lol.
Tomorrow is hiking one of our BIG mountains with a friend.... Monday is hiking all the big hills in town with another friend... and the rest of the week is cross training - biking, aerobics, weight lifting... I think I'm ready and the weather prediction says it's gonna be PERFECT! 66 degrees, fall colors will be peak, the sound of leaves crunching under my tires on a smooth path with more than 1/2 of the 113 miles being downhill, not to mention a group of friends to laugh with.... ok, maybe I'm not so depressed after all. Oooo, wait... I also talked to my son - he's happy to watch the dogs for me!!! YAY!!! LATER!
