I SOOOOO LOVE THIS WOMYN!!!
Maybe it’s because I was once her size and had such a difficult time accepting myself… Maybe it’s because this JOY cannot be FAKED! You know, I’m not much of a movie buff, and I really never go to the theatre… I DO KNOW, I will OWN this film when it is released on DVD, and I DO KNOW, I will try to see this at a theatre when it comes out… Gabby Sidibe is a marvelous, joyful womyn who accepts herself exactly as she is. I know it is hard to love yourself when you are a very large womyn… I know I still loose that love for myself when I judge myself for being larger than I should be (I think I always will, sadly, but it was inbreed in me with so much influence from others when I was a nearly 300 lb. womyn after being a large teenager—I was tormented by boyz… Somewhere in my mind, I can still be that very large, unhappy womyn…). Gabby Sidibe is the lead character in the new movie “Precious”, and I really cannot WAIT to see this film! Here is a video of Gabby on the Ellen Show… It says it all; you MUST watch this video!
