I see tomorrow....and it isn't pretty

There's a debate in a forum somewhere on Facebook that centers around a school in Boston that's set to scrap their current diesel school buses for electric ones.

"Boston announced last month that it plans to replace its entire fleet of more than 700 buses with electric vehicles."

They're going to spend $500 million on the new buses, my question is, why?

I predict that by 2040 they'll be no need for school buses as I see a future (in the United States) where there's no longer brick and mortar schools to goto. Every class will be remotely taught in the comfort and safty of the students home. 

This, of course, will cost people their jobs. bus drivers, teachers (not all of course), so many jobs connected with public schools that we never think of.
