I screwed up

Paid our middle son's court fees.  Husband's upset because I don't want to pay our youngest son's court fees.  I messed up.  I know that middle son can pay us back because he has a job so I rationalized it.  My sister also asked to borrow a large sum of money to help them from foreclosing on their house and I am willing.  
Double standard.  I know.  I also know that my middle son's latest incident (girlfriend breakup) has put him into a state of depression - bringing back horrible memories of when he was in high school.  Girlfriend breaks up - depression.  Revisiting the past.  Almost a PTSD with me.
Husband and I had a fight - raising our voices at each other.  T-Man won again.
