I need to vent
So it's a "friend" birthday today, he doesn't have a relationship with his family so it's been me more off than on for the past 17years, we spoke a week ago and he asked for dinner and a cake,. Chicken Parnassian with linguine is on the menu,, Thursday I text him asking what day would he be coming from the Bronx to Brooklyn for dinner he says Saturday/today, I made his homemade 3laydr strawberry cake with a strawberry mousse in between, this morning I did the chicken parmesan and linguine and at noon I receive a text saying he wasn't feeling good since last night and wouldn't be able to make it ,, So I guess I have Saturday and Sunday dinner because his B!tch ass doesn't get anything..

what a shame....sorry you went all out for his birthday and he did not come....if he is sick I would not come if it were me.....the cake looks yummie and I would love your chicken parm and linguini that sounds so good....I like Chicken Parm a lot....I used to get eggplant parm when I lived in nut house in CT....LOL We would order Grinders with Eggplant parm on them....so good...I never was able to recreated a eggplant parm sandwich like they made....
Hey Bill. I'm not upset if sickness was the case and for the record I know it wasn't sickness it was hangover, but if you knew you weren't feeling well the night before why not say something so it could've been postponed, I spent money and time,, I'm just tired of male friends who never fail to disappoint or contact when it's convenient for them
