I am here for support and friendship. My own family sees me as a disappointment because I have mental illness. I don't understand why they don't care. I am not living with them anymore but they still call.
Now is it that they don\'t understand your problem correctly? Or do they try and deny that you have a problem at all? I have seen families do either one.
Lack of understanding may take some help from your therapist to educate them. But if they are trying to pretend that everything is fine, even explation won\'t change things
