I miss
This is my reply to a post in the Fibro group. I'm being lazy and doing a copy/paste here with some editing. I tried not to let go of my favorite activities but I could not win as Fibro took me down and calls all the shots. I miss those things and had to grieve the losses, like the death of them. I felt a few years ago that it was the death of me which would make me a zombie, I think. I then focused on writing, guitar and singing and those things were my greatest therapy and brought me much joy. So with the increase in shoulders, arms, hands, fingers pain I was losing the guitar playing. Then got a chronic hoarseness so my joy of singing taken. I played and sang publicly when I could make it out of the house. ahhh Well. It is more than Fibro pain for me, if it were just Fibro I could have managed to continue playing. OK, so now I read until my eyes get too blurred and oh boy they do, write with a Fibro fogged brain and word loss and wrong word usage lol(at it all), it's just nuts! I so miss hiking, exploring and rockhounding. I miss walking my dogs. I still long at times to be cruising across the country in my car seeing new places. I always felt my best on the road. I get dreamy about being around horses, riding fast through the meadows and slower on the trails. I miss the sight and smell of the woods, the leather tack and the horse. ~Sherry
