I'm wondering if it's another bad decision

My move in date was to be July 3.  I dropped 300.00 on movers and moved in a little over half my things when on the day of movin, they gave me a piece of paper and told me to write down issues.  I had a long list including roach infestation.  They never show you the actual apt you move into rather they show you a model which is pristine.  I'm terribly disappointed and still haven't moved in yet.  I chalk it up to another bad decision.  The exterminators supposedly came this morning however, I went back over after work and saw more bugs than i have seen in the last 4 days.  Upon inspecting under the sink I found holes in the walls where I think they must be coming in.  I even went out and bought a can of Raid which made them scurry more....uggg. I'd be ashamed to have company at this point.  Tommorow, I'm going over to take more pictures.  The smoke alarm doesnt work, and I'm wondering if the fire alarm even does.  I may have to sue for my refund.  Lept from the pan into the fire with this one...very very discouraged.

The way I look at it, if I learned anything from having made a bad decision then at least the money wasn't totally wasted.

I was worried a few weeks ago when I spotted ants inside and I turned the house upside down until I got every last one of them, knock on wood.

Last winter, I was sitting in my lazy boy, one evening and I was munching on some nuts when I felt something on my pant leg. I thought it was my dog at first until I saw a little mouse on my knee, looking for a handout. I picked him up and took him outside, and let him go as far away from my house as I could walk in the dark. I didn't have the heart to kill him but I searched high and low for the hole he came in through and I plugged it up. I haven't had any since.

Like my dad use to tell me, "We all make mistakes, that's why they put erasers on pencils!"

My best ever decisions still had bugs in them. Pun intended. Working through the SNAFUs is part of independence. "Buyer's Remorse" has also been a part of any decision I've ever made. It seems most everything in life is better when I'm dreaming than in real life. Things settle in once I get past my habitual self-flagellation.

Borax is my favorite remedy for roaches. Sprinkle little lines of it wherever you see them scurry. If the holes are small enough, sheet rock putty will fill 'em in.

Don't give up, my healing warrior. You can do this.
