I'm such a romantic
I don't feel comfortable with romance, mayble because I've never had it. But I'm an addict to romance novels. Especially the historical romance novels where the Highland Clansmen are warriors and will fight and die for their woman. Sure it's corny, but has always been my escape. Funny how when I've been reading I would think to myself "well this guy never looked at porn or cheated on his beloved". Is it too much to ask to have a man that will have your back at any cost? I don't know, just ruminating - right now I think it's too much to ask just to have a man. Maybe a good book and a vibrator is all the romance I need.

This journal made me laugh! Especially the part about the good book and the vibrator ... LOL. Ever heard the joke \"A Cucumber is Better than a man...because?\" It\'s old, but funny.
The X was never much of a romantic, but then neither was I. But when I met Tom, let me tell you -- he knocked my socks off with all his romantic gestures. And they were GENUINE! There is a book called \"The Five Love Languages\" and it talks about how we express our love for another person. Well, Tom is a true romantic while I am more a \"service\" person -- I express my love in the things that I do for him. Those two languages may not sound compatible, but they are -- as long as we are aware of each other\'s love language. Look for that book. It\'s quite entertaining and might be something to really get you looking to the future with great anticipation.
As always, thanks for the advice and input - and you\'re no prude!
I like romance novels too. I\'m not very romantic. The ex apparently was with other women but not me. I am a servce person. I did things to make my ex\'s life easier. I have a new book to read tonight if I find the time.
