I'm Positively Positive
Today was not just any day. It was my self-proclaimed Positive Day. This is all part of my grow younger goal--that is to turn back the clock in mind in body.
Ever hear some one refer to the old as grumpy? Well, IMHO it happens as we age. For some reason we start looking at the bad and not at the good. I'm a prime example of that. Everyday, I would get up and go to work and spend the day looking at the negatives and by the end of the day I'd be miserable, wallowing in self-pity. That all changed when I decided that I would select one day out the week and say nothing but positive things. For example, a bad storm becomes a gift if you're in the mist of a drought. And a crabby customer(I'm in sales) becomes someone to help if you think about what made them that way and attempt to put a smile on their faces(it works!)
I've been doing this for two weeks now. I do tell my coworkers and friends so they won't think I've lost my mind. But basically, I've found on Positive Day I go home feeling good and refreshed. I sleep well too. Before, I'd had problems sleeping, never even dreaming. But over the last two weeks I've had some fantastic dreams, including some with the best man in my life--my late husband.
I've also discovered that even the so-called bad sales days are not bad when you have positivity in mind. Example. My job requires lots of travel--lots of walking. Well, on the days when I don't make a dime I get to rest my poor aching feet.
So, here it is, my thoughts on being positive in a nutshell--There is no point in looking only at the dark side of life. Look at the bright side instead. Focus your mind on the things that are positive about every situation. You'll feel much better in the end.

Positive works for me....I guess that is why my pat answer to a person when they ask how I am is, \"can\'t complain, it wouldn\'t do any good anyway, other than bring me down\".....yep, positive works for me so keep up the good work or I should say the good thoughts, sayings, etc...hugs, Sandi
