I\'m new
I just joined this group today (March 9th) my first and maybe only group. I had my colon removed (except a small portion above the rectum) 7 weeks ago. My chemo treatments were supposed to have already started but I have had two health problems that have pushed my chemo back to next week so that I could recoup from those illnesses. I've heard alot of stories about how bad chemo can be, so I'm scared. My treatments will be for 6 months, twice a month. I am stage 3, it has spread to at least one lymph node that we know of. I just want to be able to get through this chemo as possitive as I can be (they say that helps ? ) I'm trying to be mentally and physically strong to prepare for next weeks first treatment. Thanks for listening.

Hi GG, your not alone on your journey. It\'s okay to be scared, I was too, but when I started my first chemo, and did what the oncologist told me, it wasn\'t that bad. I just felt off during IV and for 2 days following, then I\'d bounce back again, get some light exercise in and couldn\'t wait until I could start the next treatment so I could cross it off the calendar. My prayers that your health improves. Coogee xxx
Hi CoogeeMum, Thanks for your comments. You sound like a pretty strong person. I\'m trying to get myself prepared for next week, fear of the unknown is a biggie right now. Thank you for putting me on your prayer list, that is very important to me. (Think I\'ll get a big chemo calendar and a red marker.) Take care, gg
