I'm kelly..
"Hi, i'm kelly and i'm a sex addict." for me, this is the hardest sentence to muster up the courage to say. I've been going to meetings for a while, but I can never bring myself to share. I don't know why this is so difficult for me.. maybe it's because I'm worried people will judge me, or that I'll over share... i think not being able to share is really messing with my recovery... I wish i wasn't so consumed by what people thought of me, it absolutely terrifies me to say the things I need to to actually start recovering.. I seem to trade one addiction in for another... If only I wasn't afraid to share the root of the problem. I know what started it all (or at least triggered all my disordered behaviour), but I need to be willing to accept that it wasn't my fault and it was out of my control. I have to remember that....

I\'ve had my own share of addiction and I was super shy and found a accountability partner to call me everyday to talk to...It was only then that I was able to get everything off of my chest and have the confidence to quit..
Don\'t feel weird about not immediately wanting to open up to people....
It helps sometimes to start over the phone..
But if you ever feel like you want to talk to someone, I\'ve been an accountability partner/coach to a lot of people and it has helped them and I\'ll be happy to provide that support...
Its completely anonymous and over the phone...and I don\'t want anything in return, its my way of giving back
Let me know and I\'ll be happy to call you
