I'm in a funk today
Now that I've come down from my anger high from yesterday, I've feeling a mixture of sadness and anxiety. I'm sure it's because I'm just facing reality. The future seems scary to me. He signed a year lease and I don't know if I want to live in the house in a year from now. We can't sell it in this market, and it needs so much work. Something he stopped doing a long time ago. He wants the house, and he'll be able to buy me out, but where will I want to live? I have time to think about this, and should do it when I'm more emotionally stable.
I think what's bothering me more is the thought of him being with someone else. There isn't anyone now, but eventually there will be. The thought of that makes me very sad. I know I should look at it as somebody else can put up with his issues, but it still hurts. It all hurts.

\'We can\'t sell it in this market, and it needs so much work\'-that\'s where I am. Selling a big house in a bad market and every time I turn around a doorknob falls off (or something like that)
I have been EXACTLY where you are in everything you said, and I still have to fight the feelings (mine IS with someone else).
I just try to have faith that God has a plan, and I do have a great atty-trying to leave things to her.
Don\'t make any decisions while you are \'crazy\'. Where will I go? What will I do?
I hope your pain lessens soon-it will come and go and it SUCKS!!!!
Sounds like your weekend was similar to mine.. lots of emotions about the divorce. I am keeping the house but as my stbx was looking for rentals and having a tough time finding something, I felt huge guilt. But then I thought.. I have my kids 50% of the time. I have to think about them when they are with me and I can afford to keep the house long term.
I feel bad for her, but she doesn\'t care about me anymore and she is not my problem. She wanted to be on her own, she needs to deal with what that really means. I\'ll help (I am cosigning all rental apps), but its her life. She\'s going have to figure it out.
Meanwhile, I am riding the roller coaster of emotions right now. Lots of tears this weekend. Even though I have been saying that I am accepting this, a part of me holds out hope that it will all work out and we\'ll stop this train. I think this weekend, that part of me finally got it. And it hurt like hell.
I\'m sorry for the pain you are feeling. I hope you have a better day today.
Kelly, I know exactly what you mean about those pressing feelings of sadness and anxiety and just plain hurting. You\'re right not to think too much about the future right now when you\'re feeling so raw. I\'m still struggling with all these feelings and it\'s been six months in my case -- but it is easier now than in the first couple of months when I was completely overwhelmed.
Take it an hour at a time if you have to - I found it helpful to tell myself \" I can deal with feeling this way for an hour \" and then I\'d do it again, and again. Also, I\'m not a great runner but I run every day, listening to upbeat things on my iPod. It\'s one of the few things I can do that stops the constant thinking and worrying . So , if you can find time to do some kind of cardio, it might help. For me, it\'s not just the endorphins, although they help, it\'s that it\'s something in my control, that I can do for myself, that suspends the craziness and makes me feel good, even temporarily .
Sending you hugs and blessings, and my hope that today is better than yesterday.
