I'm going to make a positive difference in this world
I know that it's been a while since I've been to this site, but a lot has happened. I've lost a job, but found another one quickly and my 86 year old elderly Mom had a very bad fall in October and still healing and going through rehab.
My husband and I have been looking for ways to become Surrogate Grandparents. I found some websites concerning same; however, only in countries overseas. There doesn't seem to be anything available in the USA, yet there seem to be so many people in need. Not just grandparents, but families with children who have no grandparents to love or because of distance between
Therefore, we are going to begin creating a website/Facebook page for a similar program here in the United States for Grandparents who have no access or visitation with their grandchildren due to circumstances such as alienation, no family and/or distance, etc., as well as for families, looking for surrogate grandparents for their children to love. This would also include same sex couples, whose children have no extended family or grandparents to love or call their own. Discrimination will not be tolerated and let's face it, this is for the children who need grandparents and for the grandparents who want and need children to love.
