I'm back...I think
It's been a rough few weeks but I feel soooo much better. And while winter may still have a surprise or two left for us, the weather is also much improved. It's still a bit rainy and raw but the temp is in the 40-60 range which is tolerable.
I feel sorry for the folks on the east coast. They really got hammered this year. Bet they'll be glad when winter's over.
On another topic, since I have had so much indoor time due to the weather and my illness, I have tried to look over the President's health care reform bill. All that I can say is the more I look into it the more confused I become. Things like taxing "Cadillac" health care plans have me stumped. I mean what makes a health care plan a "cadillac"? Is it premium plans for which the members pay nothing...or very little? Or is it something else entirely? Also he proposes partiallly funding his plan through savings achieved in Medicare.. again through going after insurance companies that provide supplemental insurance for medicare recipients. If there is fraud or waste involved then I'm all for it. BUT I also have this suspicion that it will cost us more money. I also worry that anything hammered out in haste is due to fail. I hope that I'm wrong.
So, in summary, I guess I feel well but I'm a bit confused....just like normal.
Be well,
Tom
