I'm back - better, yet at a loss

Since taking a break from DS almost 2 years ago, I've been having a continuing thought that I need to come back and help those that have struggled with infidelity in their marriage, as I had been helped immensly from my supporters. 4 years after Dday and while we continue to be a work in progress, with our rebuilding always at the forefront, I feel I can offer encouragement, guidance (if requested or needed) and some sanity to it all. At the same time, I have suffered a loss this past year that I'm having difficulty coming to terms with. My sister Wendy died tragically in December 2013. She was on drugs (meth) almost her entire life, abandoned 2 girls, who are both adults now and choose to live the transient life style in a tent under a freeway with other transients. She had simply walked into her tent and an explosion was heard and seen. It took over 5 months to identify her through DNA collected from me, my siblings and her daughters. And drugs were found in her system - not surprising. I've had many visits with Wendy since and every one of them still include her denial that she was on drugs. Now, it's her daughters who are addicted - her youngest, at age 19, to herion. I've reached out to her several times, however, I'm not willing to invest my yime in the repeated lies, denials and not wanting to get help. So, there it is. My marriage is strong and surviving. My family, however, needs some fixin up.
