I love my daughter

I just finished putting my 3 year old to bed.  As I was leaving she asked why Mama died, which isn't an uncommon question.  I sat down and explained to her again that Mama got very, very, very sick and they couldn't make her better.  She thought for a minute and said that some day she was going to go under the ground and make something to make Mama better and she was going to bring her home and she was going to stay with us.  This was obviously extremely sweet but also got me crying a little.  She then matter of factly said, as only children can, Daddy then you can talk to her and we won't miss her anymore and you don't have to cry anymore.
As hard as it is for me to think of my daughter going through the rest of her life without her mother it's moments like these where I realize that she will never forget her mother and make me extremely happy to have her with me to help make this journey a little easier.
