I loath hills

Everyday I go for a walk with my Mom. She is training for a marathon.  I commend her, because I could never have the courage to do one after all she has been through. Anyways, we took a new path today and with which came an awful hill. The first thing I thought when I saw the hill was, "Son of a bitch."(Pardon my language) I was doubtful I was going to make it, but I took a deep breath; turned on my motivation song, For Your Entertainment by Adam Lambert(Love it ^_^), and I sprinted up it. I honestly just wanted to get the damn thing over with. I didn't care how badly it burned, lol! I just hope tomorrow will be so much easier.
As far as weight loss. I haven't lost any weight, but I haven't gained any either. Which I really don't mind. I haven't been eating like I probably should. Which I have changed. I completely wiped out all of the junk food from my house. Really the only thing left to do is drink water. Pretty much the hardest thing for me to do. It's the Joker to my Batman. I will persist in achieving 8 glasses a day!

Wow...it\'s impressive that your mom is training for a marathon. I was preparing for a half-marathon a couple of years ago before my right knee started giving me major trouble (meniscus tear). Thirteen miles seemed overwhelming, so I can\'t even imagine running 26 miles. Kudos to you for taking on that hill (and getting rid of the junk food)!

Thank you!
I completely forgot there was a difference between a half and a full marathon. Sorry about that! She is actually doing the half. She is actually walking it. She can\'t run it. Her doctor told her under no circumstance is she to run. She was in a really bad car accident in 89\' that nearly killed. They actually had to literally screw her head on straight. Safe to say she has made a full recovery since, but her body can\'t handle that much trauma that comes with running a full marathon. We are all very proud of her for even wanting to attempt a half-marathon. The day she finishes it will be a very happy occasion!

Even the thought that you were willing to try a half-marathon is an accomplishment in itself. I hope your knee is much better now :)
