I Know Why I Like this Girl that I Like

She reminds me of my brother who passed away of colon cancer...in female form, 20 years younger, when he was happier and healthier.  I'm debating whether I should tell her this.  I don't want to creep her out, but she too lost her father to cancer (lymphoma) when she was 8, and I think I remind her of her father.  This is definitely a deeper attachment than sex or even romance, and I really think it's God and my brother's intervention.  He knows I miss him, so he's guiding me toward another like him.  What to do about this is another matter...I guess be friends with her!  I think, if I told her this, she would trust me as a guy who doesn't just want to get into her pants, even though she has a beautiful body...it goes deeper than that.

Hi, it\'s great to think you\'ve met someone who can be an emotional support to you. As to what you should say to her, I think things happen in their own time. I\'m single myself so I\'m no expert but I\'d be afraid of \'creeping her out\' myself. Make it clear to her that you like her for who she is. I hope I\'ve helped.

Thanks, tatty. Sadly, I\'m lonely right now, and she already has a boyfriend, so our \"timing\" is not quite right (been the story of my life). I do like her for who she is...she\'s remarkably sexy, charming and...FUNNY! I feel totally comfortable in her craziness, as though I\'m in \"good hands\". But I\'ve decided to lay off, because it isn\'t doing either of us any good right now to intermingle. Maybe I\'ll drop in once a month to check on her \"relationship status\" LOL if I haven\'t met someone else first. This is good, though, because it\'s shown me that, yes, I REALLY want to be in a relationship, now that I\'ve seen how good it can be.
