I just wanted to share a DELICIOUS healthy dessert recipe I literally JUST made...
Chocolatey parfait
serves 2
1 6oz container fat-free/light fruit flavored yogurt (I used Publix brand ff blueberry)
1 serving chopped fruit (I used strawberries)
11 dark chocolate hershey's kisses, melted (serving size is 9, I added 2 extra for Mike.. and they're only 20 calories a pieces anyway )
1 serving chopped dark chocolate roasted almonds (OMG if you haven't had these yet, they are AMAZING!!! In the nut aisle in your grocery store, and what I find it so amazing about them is that they have a HUGE chocolatey flavor w/ only 1g of sugar per serving and almost the same calories as plain almonds!!!{tip for chopping: just put them in a ziplock bag and bet the hell outta 'em w/ a spoon!! great for getting any neg. emotions out )
2 servings whipped cream
Layer in two small bowls, yogurt, then 1/2 the fruit, then the chocolate, then 1/2 the almonds, remaining yogurt, remaining almonds. then top w/ a squirt (or dolip) of whipped cream and (optional) garnish w/ two whole almonds..
Calorie varies depending on the type of yogurt and fruit you use... but mind was
yogurt- 100
almonds- 150
chocolate- 180
strawberries- 50
whipped cream- 30
total= 250
and it is EXTREMELY satisfying for those of you out there who need dessert!! Let me know if you try it, how you like it
