I just dont understand

Well apparently I am still in limbo. I went back yesterday for 3rd beta and it wa 46. My first was 26, second was 30, third was 46. What is going on. Has anyone ever heard of this. Has anone heard of anyone having a healthy pregnancy when numbers are not rising the way they should. I am going crazy here. Do I prepare myself for the worst. The nurses at doctors office cant give me any answers which I guess I understand but this is just so frustrating. I dont understand.

The limbo of the low beta is the worst!! Are they going to keep repeating betas for you or schedule an US?? The numbers are creeping up but not doubling and I\'m not sure what that could mean. I do think that your clinic needs to keep a close eye out for you.

Thank you for your prayers keepsmiling.

Citygurl- they have me coming in every other day to monitor my levels. I just wish they tell me something already. I go back tomorrow. I hope they give me more answers tomorrow.

I haven\'t heard of this but that doesn\'t mean it doesn\'t happen. So, do they not say anything at all when you ask them what it means? Do they even speculate? So strange. I will pray that those numbers start doubling for you. It has got to be nerve wracking. Hang in there.

beta limbo is so hard.

With my first pregnancy the numbers went up but didn\'t double. It ended up I had one empty sac and one heart beat.

The truth is the Dr.\'s don\'t really know much now. The number is not going down so that could mean things are ok, but since they are not going as expected the need more betas to go on. If the keep rising they will do an ultrasound to see what\'s going on the at about 6-7 weeks...

Sorry to tell you but I was in a similar situation where my beta looked great the first time but then it went down a little and then up a little but it never quite tripled or doubled. When I went for my first ultrasound they couldn\'t find anything and i miscarried at 8 weeks. I would not give up hope but I would be prepared for either way. I have also heard of it going well for people though.

I have seen women with slowly rising betas, and I\'ve seen it go both ways -- chemical pregnancies ending In m/cn but a few times, just late implanting embryos that ended up being healthy pregnancies. It\'s the worst kind of limbo, because there\'s nothing you can do but wait. Fingers crossed!

i have heard of women with betas that didn\'t double and were low who went on to have a healthy baby. I guess they won\'t really know until they do an u/s. My RE said they didn\'t consider me pregnant if I didn\'t hit 50. I have no idea what that even means. Maybe my RE just has his head up his rear. hang in there!!!

I have not heard of any similar stories, but I am hoping and praying that those betas continue to rise and everything will turn out just fine. This must be such torture for you, I am so sorry you have to go through this. Why do our bodies have to play such games with us. Hang in there. xoxo

I\'m thinking of you ttc I know I was in a similar situation with my first round of IVF however I had a full bleed and then still got a beta of 42 I was like you and had to wait for test after test they warned me at the time that it could be a chemical and if so the numbers would continue to drop. In the end they did drop and it turned out to be a chemical it was so hard because we still had that hope the beta would rise. I think it\'s possible for a late implanter that\'s what I hoped for, I just hope you get some answered ASAP because limbo land is no fair! Crossing everything I have for a late implanter!

I had 4 betas on my first pregnancy. The 4th one finaly trippled and everything went great. I know I miscarried later but nothing was wrong with the baby and it was my fibroid. This time, I had 3 betas. 2nd one didn\'t double but 3rd one trippled so wait till your 4th beta and see what happens. Your RE maybe can do 5 week u/s to confirm yolk sac. That\'s what my RE did since I had 3 betas. I\'m so sorry you are going through this. I hate beta limbo

Mine limped along till 300 and my Re did an u/s at around 5.5 weeks. Sadly it was a chemical. I am sorry you are in such limbo! Will keep you in my prayers.

Wow, how frustrating this must be...I don\'t know too much about beta limbo, but I hope your next beta triples as noal suggests and this ends up being a successful pregnancy. Prayers for you!
