I hurt myself today...

I dont know why I expected anything different this time, I messed everything up with the new girl last night and the ex spoke to some old common friends and they messed with her head and shes all like i cant do this with you again im not comfortable taking favors we were over a long time ago we are even you dont have to do anything for me you dont owe me anything. There is no new girl as long as you hold the old one and will not let go. There is no cease to the pain until you stop beating yourself up, no joy allowed to seep into the heart until you open it to others. You feel miserable again because you realize you must face reality once again.Face it..it is the way it is..then accept it, and let it go..if you ever want your heart to smile again you have to do this and be done with it..you cannot continue to believe the untruths you try to convince yourself of..reality has been slapping you in the face over and over and you have chosen to ignore it..and instead closed your eyes and dreamed..but the dream is not reality and sooner or later we all must wake from our dreams.
