I have been feeling so lonely lately

I have been feeling so lonely lately.  I've been meaning to start using this website for years, but this is my first post and just haven't been able to get started and don't even understand if other people will be reading this.  I keep reaching out to in-person friends but everyone is so busy, so I guess I have to push myself and go against what feels natural for me, and try to meet friends and find support online.  I am so tired of feeling so lonely and so needy on the people that do have time for me, so I try to keep to myself a lot so I don't burden anyone.
