I have a question

does anybody think that there is a certain age where you can be sure about what your sexuality is? Im asking this because my mom told me that I couldn't join an LGBTQ group because I was too young to decide wether I'm sure about it. I understand that we are still growing up but seriously she is not letting me go to something because I'm not old enough to make my own decisions?! Any advice?
