I have a new member of my family
I have a new member of my family. I was playing cards Friday and the couple who's house we were at, had a rescue kitty. She was about 8 months old. I have added her to my family. I named her "Molly". She is a calico I think, she has a lot of white, with grey, redbrown, and almost black splodges all over her. They think she was attacked by a dog at some point, because she has puncture scars on either side of her neck and her front legs. They are well healed so I am not concerned. I will take her to see a vet sometime this week. Right now we are still getting to know each other. The Parakeet "PC" has been a bit quiet, but seems to be okay with his new girlfriend! Cat made one lunge and got a face full of water spray and hasn't made another move towards the cage. She loves to watch the birds outside, so when I work Monday the bird will go into the bathroom to spend the night. Only safe place I have that the cat can't get into no matter what!
So I am making my own family.
I still find it sad that my old family can't mix with my new family.

I think a kitten is the perfect therapy! Something to love and to have love you.
Yesterday, Lauryn was scooting around on the scooter and somehow fell and momentarily hurt herself. Her cat Maggie came running over to see how she was doing! It was so sweet. Maggie won\'t run for anyone else--only for Lauryn!
Yes, your Molly is a calico. I have two calicos on this farm. She is going to be the perfect family member for you. She won\'t care the hours you work. She won\'t even mind if you are gone for a day or two. She will be so glad to see you when you do get home. They love to be talked to. This is going to be good for both of you. (((HUGS)))
Thanks you guys! Something just went bing! when I saw her and realized I could really have her! I just hate going to Petco or Petsmart and paying as much as $150 just for a kitten! I put almost $70 into cat stuff for her and it was well worth it. Next will be the vet visit. I will pay to have her spade and if possible have her claws removed. Now don\'t get all excited at me. The only 2 cats I have ever had were inside cats only and I had both of them de-clawed when they were spaded and neutered! If you don when they are young and new to your home I don\'t think it is so hard on them. We have already been sprayed twice for using the furniture to claw on. I bought her a toy that has a scratch pad in the middle, but she still thinks she likes the furniture. She will always be an indoor ONLY cat! So I don\'t worry about her taking care of herself, I haven\'t lost a cat yet! That will cost me the rest of the money I would have spent this summer on my kids. Since they can\'t be bothered with me, I shall just make my only family. I know the cat and the bird are thrilled to have my attention and what ever I can buy them to play with!
If you don\'t get her declawed she will tear up your upholstery no doubt. I don\'t care what any one says, it\'s not as bad as some people make it out to be. I know lots of caring veterinarians who do it for their personal pets.
I agree with Trisha, Molly is a perfect choice.
Thanks!
If she\'s an insider, then you have every right to do as you please. Wait. You do anyhow! Look into the pounds spaying at a discount. There are so many Not taking care of the animals, a lot of clinics do it for cheap. This is a cute pic too. and yes, the bird in the bath sounds like a good idea. :o)
Oh, a kitten, I love it.
Rob and Melissa are away for four days, so I\'m in charge of Toby and the two cats. The cats stay upstairs, they\'re afraid of Toby and he really only wants to play with them, but they run and hide when he goes upstairs. So I\'ve been up and down the stair about twenty times, these cats want to eat everytime they hear me. Then I go downstairs and feed Toby, I\'m just having so much fun, but I love having all three of them.
