I guess the ex will always be lurking
My daughter calls me yesterday, she apologized for not calling me the day before-she calls almost everyday now-and I'm just amazed she is apologizing. She tells me about her day and that she been promoted at her job, which is great but she is also working loong hours now and she is tired by the time she comes home. She also complaint about her dad, according to her he is like a 5 year old kid and you can't reason with him. Last year he send one of his workers-he is a supervisor- with a dog and told my daughter she had to take of the dog. My daughter did not wanted the dog but Cinnamon is a cute dog and she figure well I give it a try. Now she is working to many hours and lives in a small apartment, my daughter feels she can no longer take care of Cinnamon. So she call her dad to let him know-his answers: " I don't know why can't you take care of her" "I have another dog and can't take her" "You have to take care of her". She is trying hard to reason with him, since she will be taking a trip in summer with us she asked him if he can at least take care of Cinnammon for a week, his answer of course not. My daughter had that moment when she realized her dad impose the dog on her because he was going to take a trip and it was more convenient for him that way. She says the dog is not misbeheaving or anything but she feels she can't walk her everyday. She feels is unfair for cinammon.
Anyways, she also remembered this incident that happened last week. She was going out of her apartment and when she is walking by the sidewalk she sees her dad. He asked her: "Where are you going" she answered: "I'm going shopping with mom, we are going to have a girl day" He answers: "Well my wife is upstairs, if you need to go shopping you can always go with her, you know she doesn't go to school until night so she is available during the day"
My daughter said she just kept walking. She tells me now she is beginning to understand why I couldn't take it anymore.
He is very manipulative and I believe he is corrosive. He did not wanted to say: "Why are you going out with your mom?" But he said it anyways.
So yesterday night he called her and out of the blue asked her: "so how is your mom?, are you sure her husband don't want to divorce her by now?"
My daughter hang up the phone.
I divorce this man, I really don't have to deal with him anymore. I feel bad for my daughter he is still her dad.
