I got around this weekend.
Over the weekend, I got around to doing things. Helped my wife with the laundry and housework, mowed the yard and grilled some ribs. It's hard to get around with my back pain. It started to hurt pretty bad after I started GE last month. I'm at Mazda Toyota plant now. It's about the same pain wise but in a week or two, I'll be on a lift again. At first when needed, but we're growing so in time I'll be on one full time. I just need to hang in there.
My goal this week is to go over material to busk this weekend. It's been years since I played in public but I got advice that I already knew. Just do it. You'll never be fully ready. If a kid can do it, I can do it.

That’s wonderful. I know exactly how that feels because I returned to playing publicly after many years away myself. One thing I learned is not to wait for the nerves to disappear before playing. Sometimes the courage comes after the first song starts.
I also learned not to put too much pressure on perfection. People connect more with sincerity and heart than flawless playing. Most listeners are rooting for you far more than we realize.
A few things that helped me:
Start with songs you know well and feel comfortable with.
Keep the set simple at first.
Don’t worry about impressing people, just share the music.
If you make mistakes, keep going. Most people either won’t notice or won’t care.
The first few minutes are usually the hardest part.
And honestly, there’s something healing about returning to music after years away. It can feel like reconnecting with a forgotten part of yourself.
Wishing you a great time busking this weekend.
Thx Bob.
I think at first you will be nervous but once you get into it the nerves will subside.
Just go with it and have fun!!!!
Hope your back starts to feel better too.
