I felt really good today!

After having a horrible flare-up of IBS yesterday afternoon, I got up this morning hoping for a better day.  I was blessed with one!  I ended up taking a long hike in Joshua Tree National Park and I saw a herd of bighorn sheep.  I also saw a tiny hummingbird sitting in a tree.  The hike was a lot longer than I had planned and the pain in my joints started in about an hour before I made it back to my car, but I didn't care.  I was having what I'd call an exceptional day!  I just focused on the scenery and stopped and rested a lot to help relieve the joint pain.  The 800 mg of Ibuprofen I took when I got to the car seemed to help a lot.
I started back on the IBS diet today and felt well.  No abdominal pain all day!  It's worth giving up many of the foods I love just to avoid the pain.
I'm hoping tomorrow will be great as well and I'm actually looking forward to cleaning the house, if you can believe that.

You are amazing!! I can\'t believe that you have FM and rock climb and hike and bike ride...
I thought I was doing spectacular just going to the gym. LOL! I truly am thankful to see how active you are as that really does give me a lot of hope. I am 41 and have recently been diagnosed. It has been terribly frustrating and I have been trying so hard to change my life so that I am healthier and more active as well.

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed that hike and imagine that it was quite beautiful. :) Hope you have a great weekend!! :) Take care and I look forward to reading more about you adventures!! Hugs and love, Waverly
