I feel so isolated and alone
Thank God for my mom. Otherwise I would have no one else to talk to. I could not go to my brother's house yesterday for dinner. I could not go for obvious reasons. I feel so isolated and alone. I have no other friends. No one I can really talk to. I hate to come off whiny. I am not the type to ask for help anyway. I am strong, I know I am. I pray a lot right now. Thank you htag for the call. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated it when I was feeling at my worst! I will get through this. And I will keep exercising. This gets me out of the house and helps clear my head. Another frustration: I know it is just a number. But my mom says my sister is now a size 12. I am guessing now she is in low 180's. I just got to a size 12 and I am now at 148!!! she is maybe 1" taller than me. This is SO frustrating to me. But I am down almost 20 lbs and have kept it off almost 1 year. so I have to think positive. Are sizes different now than 10 years ago? Is a size 12 now similar to a size 14 years ago? Just wonderng. Again, People say to me they are a size 10 or whatever and I look at me and get frustrated. Oh well. 1 day at a time. Right?

YES! The sizes are SOOO much more different than the past! I shop at a lot at Goodwill, and thrift shops, the sizes that I think I am, I have to get way larger in the \"older\" sizes. But then if I go to places liket he GAP, I wear a size 0???!! Yeah, crazy. I can barely fit into a size 6 anymore, but if I get jeans in another brand, I can\'t fit into their 12. yup, go figure. That\'s why you shouldn\'t let \"size\" ruin it for you. You should just look at the actual weight and feel good that you are dropping it. =o) You\'re doing great. I give you a lot of credit for your dedication in this exercise, weight loss program you put yourself on. I can\'t seem to get off my butt and get back to excercising, nor am I self motivating, so I need classes to get myself to actually push myself far enough to make a difference.
Yes, one day at a time. And sweetie, you can call me anytime. If I don\'t answer, I will almost always call back when I get the chance to! =-)
Yes, they are different. I never know what size I will be. I take a variety of sizes to the change room, and am always amazed at how one pair of pants will fit and is a size 14, and then next won\'t fit and is a 16. But you have done great and need to be proud of your hard work and accomplishments. Just because one person has a smaller waist or another has a higher waist, then the fit can be totally different for them or for you. Just be you. Don\'t focus on who you are not. Focus on the wonderful person that you are. And your health! Yay for being healthy.
You ARE strong. That should be the first line on your resume! Strong! Amazing mom!! Kind friend. You reach out to others when your own life is going through turmoil - you still have time for friends.
Thanks for being a great friend!
I am sorry too that you are feeling isolated and alone. There are days around here I would pay for that ha ha ha....I am super thankful that you have your mom and friends like htag. Big hugs!
As said before me...there is such a huge range of sizes - so let that go! Why do you want to compare yourself to yourself to your sister...is this a thing from growing up? Let that go to...you are you! A strong beautiful and wonderful person! Embrace who you! I am so amazed at your strength!
Don\'t think about your size.. remember how much you\'ve lost.
you are strong and a wonderful friend...
it\'s a shame you feel so isolated.. thank goodness for all your DS friends... especailly Htag...
Yes, dont look at sizes! They will def differ from store to store, well actually maker...clothing lines! I used to work in retail quite a while, and it depends on cuts too! never wear clothing from a jr size if you are built like a woman! LOL If you are a 12 to 14 that is now considered avg!!! Yay! haha I am almost in the 160\'s range but am in a size 12 becuz I have smaller hips so... People tell me they dont believe me..that I weigh that much! I do! haha But you my dear are at a very good weight so dont fret it too much...size 12 or not! At our age too we tend to hold more than when we were younger unless we are not eating right! Its more about the exercise and health for us too! As long as you are in healthy ranges according to the tests then I would just keep doing what you are and if you feel you can do more than do! You have alot on your plate so try and keep things simplified as much as you poss can as well! When the time is right your body will start the losing again! (((HUGS)))
