I feel alone

Okay so my parent recently split up and they have a separation agreement but are waiting 2 years till they get a deforce because its easier. I live with my mum and she know that I'm gay and is... well she understands it but isn't happy about it, I didn't tell her about it she found a note in my room which said 'Dean loves Luke' (Dean was my boyfriend at the time). She was driving me to a party and said about it and i was like yeah I'm gay to which she replied just simply with Ah... I have now shut off from her as she dent listen when i try to tell her thing that i am feeling.
My dad on the other hand is one of the scariest people in my life and whenever I go over his he always makes homophobic comments and I always feel terrible when I come back to my mums. I have tried and tried to get the courage to tell my dad but I just can't and with each day that I spend round his it makes me more down about who I am. The more time I spend around him the more I get afraid of him and also the more anger builds up in me about how narrow minded he is and how he doesn't understand what its like to be gay and hear that non stop.
The only person in my family who actually understands what I'm going through is my brother but he is at university and so is never here and so i feel alone trapped in my house with no one to speak to. I now just sit in my room doing work and talking to my 2 friends who know I am gay and I just feel so alone. The only place I really talk to people is at school but even there I get prying comments over why I don't have a girlfriend and I just want to scream at the top of my lungs that I'm gay but the words always escape me.
I thought I would give a support group a try and see if things get better when you talk to people who actually understand what you are going through. I hope the saying is true that it gets better.
