I Fell
I fell last night as I was bringing Foxy in from her final trip to the back yard. The steps I use from the side door are a little dangerous. They're about 2 feet wide, 6 inches deep, and slant toward the house. Not easy for a guy my size, but they allow me to lean against the outside wall for stability. Going up the steps means I go up sideways with my right hand clutching the kitchen door. I'm not sure what happened last night. After reaching the small platform at the stop of them, I lost my balance and fell toward the concrete driveway 3 feet down. Somehow, I grabbed the garbage bin and hit the drive with my right foot which has a sore callous. How I landed on my feet, I'll never know. I was headed face down. I stood there for about 5 minutes hurting before attempting the steps again. The only thing I can think of is that God caught me.

Well, it sure does sound like that is EXACTLY what happened! I mean, you WERE headed face first, and suddenly you land on your feet. Wow! I guess I would call that a miracle. Maybe God is trying to tell you something.....like \"Let\'s make those steps easier to get up and down on.\" Hugs to you and Foxy, dear friend!!!
Oh wow Mike. I have broken all the bones in my left ankle and had to have surgery with a metal plate installed and weeks in a cast where I could not walk and was stuck in a wheel chair. I use a cane and rolling seated walker which has its own seat to prevent further falls.
I\'m just so glad you were not seriously injured.
Whew!!!
Stay safe dearest one.
((hugs))

Am sorry to see this-I sure hope that you will be all right, take it easy and be careful of those steps, can you have them fixed? I am glad it was not worse though it sounds bad enough. HUGS of healing gently for you
I agree that God caught you or you have a great angel holding your hand ...get better soon
