I don't want any regrets in my life...
I'm guessing most of my entries will be general since I haven't been writing down my thoughts in a long time. I feel like I should invest in another journal. I don't know how I feel today...I really want to be hopeful, but I honestly feel like I'm failing myself, therefore failing my family. I keep thinking about how things are on a daily basis...I mean, the every day routine and that is just what it is, a routine and then I think about how I would LIKE things to be a little different. I get frustrated with my guys at home and I don't like to seem nagging or fussy, but I would LOVE to ask them what is different about their every day life that moves them forward with any goals in their lives. Now I'm asking myself that because although I am slowly moving forward with my baking business...I'm getting referrals and new customers all the time, but our goal was to get our finances in order to get a home, so I can actually make that step of Faith and work solely from home with the baking business, but can I honestly, TRULY do that?? Not if I don't take the steps I need to take and I can't wait on anyone else to get me there. I think I've gotten frustrated too, with the fact that after 2 or 3 years of pushing me to move forward with the baking business, I feel alone in it. My significant other spends his time in our room while I'm baking and when it gets late, he's in bed...I can't afford to do that with a business, not right now anyway. Working for yourself means that I might have to work all day or for several days hard, then have a break here or there. Even when there is a break, I should be doing SOMETHING for the business if I'm to be successful and I realize that I will have to encourage myself because no one else will. I just expect offers of assistance, I just expect that if I'm tired and exhausted and working through it that, I won't have to think of what's for dinner or order out because I'm the only one that is computer savvy enough or "knows what to do"...I consistently create codependent people in my life and I don't know how to break the chains. I certainly didn't want this for my son, but I've created that in him...he's naive, lazy and technically can't care for himself, can't cook, barely dresses himself appropriately for the weather, he doesn't know how to clean up (or does it half a$$) and doesn't CARE to know how and only thinks of himself. My significant other knows how to cook, dresses appropriately, knows how to clean up around the house, and doesn't always care to do so (neither do I, but IF I had the time and energy...I would just do it myself), but he'd rather spend his money and his time on something that will get him absolutely nowhere except short of money and needing more money. Unfortunately, neither of my guys know how to manage their money, so I basically have to run things...I take the money and pay the bills the best way that I can...I do all the shopping (I get help getting stuff in the house and putting things away...thankful for that) but sometimes I just don't want to be in control of every, damn thing. I would love to not have to worry about taking care of so much and being able to focus on my baking business...I don't use my time wisely to take care of me and I have to stop this road I'm going down...somehow.
