I don't understand

I have Christ in my life & yet the red portion talks about me. The need for a pill, zoning out in front of the TV, I eat too much, I am not myself. I don't understand why we have to wait so long for our relief. I am just hanging on to hope by my fingernails. I know we don't always get to understand why. I believe that someday I might have a shot at happiness. I read once not to ask Jesus to guide my steps if I'm not willing to pick up my feet. I pick up my feet just every now & then. I need to do that now. I think a bath will help. I'm off. Everyone have a nice day. Love, Val

Source of True HealingDay 211"Without a relationship with Christ, healing in every case will be superficial," says Dr. Larry Crabb. "I just can't face the depth of my pain without knowing Christ. Knowing Christ there's always hope. And the deeper the pain, the clearer the hope actually can become.
"Without Christ, I can't face it. I can only face what a pill can solve. I can only face what an affair can solve. I can only face what drinking too much or eating too much or spending too much or crying a lot or watching TV or reading or watching soap operas can solve, which isn't the real me." Think of the actions or activities that you have been pursuing in an effort to alleviate the pain. Christ's healing love will always go deeper than anything you could find on this earth. With Christ, there is forgiveness and hope, no matter how hard the struggle, no matter how deep the pain, no matter how unforgivable you may feel. Read this miraculous promise that is available for all who call on the name of Jesus:"By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see" (Acts 3:16). God, I try to escape the pain through a myriad of activities from busyness to tears. But the reality of my healing is found in You. Amen.

I\'m living now beyond the \'red zone\' and I\'m so relieved!!!

You are in my thoughts and one step at a time will take you where you need to be. There are lessons in this for you to learn is all. We are back in school and we don\'t want to be - for the lessons are incredibly hard but as we learn we gain in both knowledge and strength and this will lead us to a better life. I have recently had an experience that has opened my eyes to truth and beauty I never even knew existed or was possible. I now simply bask in this new knowledge. This is a place where all true survivors arrive and it is a place that only those put through this journey can arrive at for it requires enduring pain that causes us to feel we will surly collapse and die at any moment from being so totally overwhelmed and in despair.
Pain and fear can be harnessed and used to guide us up great mountains and trough lonely valleys. Our focus only has to be on where we are to place the next step. As long as we are planting each foot in the act of taking another step and moving forward we will learn the how, where, when and why over the course of our journey. It is through the traveling that the answers are revealed. The journey itself contains the answers we seek.

Rest well and experience as much joy and happiness as is possible under the circumstances. This is a time to simplify life and focus on what is truly important.

((hugs)) Patricia

Hi Patricia,
Today I am going to plant a few more steps. Yesterday was a complete wash. Except that I did get a lot of needed sleep. I am going to do one room at a time. Today it will be the bedroom. Tonight I will string out the hoses to water the yards if we don\'t get rain. I pump from the tanks. The one at mom\'s is so low. I do pray for rain soon. Have a good day. Hugs, Val
