I did this to my son.

My son was told he had graves disease two years ago and that he inherited this. I found out I have it in March. I had been sick along time and doctors put it off to menapause. My gyn and my medical doctor both told me this. They only found it when it started bothering mu heart and masking me so weak I could not waslk across the house without gasping for breath. I'm overweight so I was ignored is the way I felt. Not only does my son have this now they have told him he has RA and he is only 35yrs. old. I don't care for me me but he has a long road to go being so young. He has had his radiation and it still has not gotten his thyroid regulated yet. He takes it all in stride and just goes on but I worry for him and for me. I'm told this is a managable disease. So am I over reacting or have I just not gotten use to the idea yet.
