i cant do this anymore

I just did the most stupid thing,he text me saying could i ring him and against my better judgement i did.We chatted about a few things then he tells me his ex has begged him to get back together.Apparently she would disown her family because they dont like him,she is willing to move wherever he wants to live etc.Why tell me this he knows i still have feelings for him.He says he wont go back as it is to much of a risk incase she decides she dosent love him again.He also tells me they were last living together in sept of last year(he had told me they had been seperated for a year).This makes things a lot clearer,i met him in january so it was only 4 months after they split so no wonder hes still messed up.
