I can't remember which day I am on!
Not being able to remember if I'm on Day 9 or Day 10 makes me happy!! I am no longer obsessing about how many days I have not had a drink. This morning, I just don't care about the number of days and am not worried about if I will drink again or how many days before I drink again. I am feeling confident that I don't need to worry about that because I don't drink. Period! I don't count the number of days since I last ate ice cream or had fried foods or participated in any other unhealthy behavior, so why do I need to track my abstaining from drinking? For me, it just makes drinking a constant thought. I know I am still deep in the woods, but I have found the right path out and I have the tools I need to make it and people farther down that path to show me the way if I get to a cross road and don't know which direction to take. I feel like I did when I was running in races and was starting to get tired. All it took then was to see the complete strangers lining the road cheering the runners on. It gives me courage to finish this race. I feel wonderful and happily tearful! It's going to be a great day!
